Dear devel mailing list,

I would like to know more information about SSD in Fedora. How I can
manage spaces, partition's disk and more?

I read about SSD with TRIM support improvements more lyfe cycle

scheme would be dangerously decreases a life time of SSD considerably.
I am bit worried. More people that buys a laptop with SSD, or buys SSD
to install Fedora on It.

Grretings!

I've been using an SSD in my laptop since Fedora 16 without issue. I used luks encryption, so I can't benefit from TRIM, and still no real issues. Keep good backups (same regardless of your disk type) and you're fine. As for partitioning and what-not, there is no difference. It's just another block device.

The only real recommendation is to not use a swap partition.
