Every Java program is required to have a unique class name. Most have unique package names. Is that lame? Among other things, this value is used to identify programs which purport to be the 'same' for upgrade purposes. See the 'activity management' portions of http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Presentations/April_2008_Technical_Mini-conference for more information. The Software Update control panel definitely uses the bundle_id, whether you think it is lame or not. --scott -- ( http://cscott.net/ ) _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list Devel@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/devel
