The principle goal of this discussion is to make the X Activity unnecessary by moving that functionality into Sugar's window management. Possible motivations for this include: more seamless integration with legacy apps, lower overhead when running legacy apps, easier installation of legacy apps. Personally, I have not used the X Activity, and so I don't actually know what its overheads are, how difficult it is to set up with a new application, or how well it integrates with Sugar (e.g. copy/paste, localization, theming). - --Ben -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkjWcE8ACgkQUJT6e6HFtqQ0BgCfU7jUQvLwJ1ZLM3QpM1T8aV3O buIAn2nkv5tIoqYuzsL3KSp+phgwE/1W =qs6X -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list Devel@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/devel
