Indeed, the Open Firmware warning is a good indicator of failure to
resize the partition.

Capture the kernel dmesg output after boot.  Daniel added some
additional debugging lines to the resize logic, and these, if my
memory serves me, go into the kernel message log.

Capture the dmesg output, check that the filesystem has not been
resized, and then attach the dmesg output to ticket #10040.  Thanks.
