Nancie has been doing a great job running the Contributors program with
me, coincidentally we'll be preparing XO-1s in OLPC Cambridge office
tomorrow for exactly this purpose.
While the shortage of XO-1.5s and XO-1.75s and XO-4 prototypes for
valuable contributors is not pleasant (if you're asking how we
accelerate this I don't know) we answered Austin below earlier this
morning, around people like him ( new/legit contributors ) need to do to
obtain small quanities of XO-1's:

Hello,
My team recently submitted a Contributor Program Application (Feb 15,
10 days ago) to work on our Platipy Project with OLPC. We haven't
heard anything back, besides the automatic response email. We signed
into the discussion room at the specified times, but there was no one
around. Can anyone tell us what's happening with our application? I
apologize if this is the wrong place to post about this, but I'm
having a hard time finding humans :)
