Don't do it, it will be a mess technically which will complicate the Flickernoise build. The two use very different build procedures (RTEMS vs. bare metal) and the test tool depends on the "bare metal" libs from the SoC distribution while Flickernoise does not (except for libfpvm, but there is additional code in the SoC distribution to build for RTEMS). Plus, as you pointed out, there must be a solution to select booting to the test tool... And you need a serial cable anyway to use the test program, so using the same cable to load another binary isn't a problem.
