What about putting to good use those ferrite beads which poisoned our
lives earlier?
One in series with each VBUS (with capacitors on the other side ofc) may
potentially reduce the drop on the main supply (which is bad even if it
doesn't affect the reset IC)... if it doesn't last too long.
We can also increase the value of the decoupling capacitor close to the
USB port (currently 220uF for the two ports).
I'm for 4V reset IC + reduced drop.
