Hi List,

For the last weeks we have been working on OpenChange server, finalizing
the EMSABP to mapiproxy migration as initially discussed in [1] and
trying to provide the most modular architecture we could.

One of the benefits from this work is that it is possible for
third-party groupware projects to use OpenChange as a "MAPI to
<your_groupware> proxy glue" - providing native compatibility with
Outlook [2].

While OpenChange "Exchange store" provider is still in very early stage
(mostly design and early implementation at the moment), we think it
would be worthwhile for other projects to join OpenChange technical
discussions now.

OpenChange will obviously continue to develop its own EMSMDB provider
(the Exchange store), but it is already possible for third-party
projects to write their custom provider and have the glue they were
looking for.

Finally, if you are interested in collaborating and discussing at this
very early stage, you are welcome.

Cheers,
Julien & the OpenChange team.
