OpenChange people feel a bit more comfortable, or perhaps large
corporate users who may care about things like software patents...

OpenChange appears on the Open Invention Network's definition of the
"Linux System" at entry 1232 :

there of course, along with 2172 other packages :-)

OIN exists to protect the "Linux System" from patent attack. You will
find lots of well-informed commentary online about how this works.

So, the good people at OIN (and IBM, and their patent lawyers, etc etc)
