What we need is a completer A-Z install document as the install instructions
end with “Any other instructions from the cookbook should apply here” and I
think this is where most people get lost... Which “Any other”? If only
Julien had the time to create such a document while he was installing or
testing openchange on Centos.

I would like to give the install another shot but boy I had too many late
nights and without a working install.

With Zentyal I got as far as connecting Outlook to Zentyal and when I sent
my first test email it worked, second and third and then outlook lost its
connection and did not want to re connect. After a server reboot the same
thing happened. 2,3,4 emails and disconnected. So far no success with ether
of the two options. I tried different versions of Outlook etc but same
results.

I think we are just missing something somewhere so a complete (very
detailed) with screenshots and lots of (if this then that) descriptions will
go a far way. Oh and I even tried the ZEG from Sogo and Outlook displayed
the same errors (disconnecting) etc...

Microsoft Exchange was my last resort and all worked after install... Not
happy that I had to go this route. Cost a pretty penny L

Hi Rene,

I included just the core commands from the command history.

I have followed this and other documentation to no avail - after reaching
the python errors I also now do not have Samba4 starting, which it was so
based on some other feedback, I will have to seek a different solution I am
thinking.

Clearly no one has got this going on CentOS and from another person who
tried it with Ubuntu not getting it to install, it really needs to be made
simpler.

Julien has done it [0] (I've never used CentOS and not planning to do it). I
use oc daily (building from github source) on latest ubuntu 14.04 using the
cookbook recipes.

And if you want a simple openchange deploy, that's called zentyal.
