Hi there, I cannot provide any technical details because I have been out of the 
game too long.
I have previously also tried Centos 6.5 and gave up on it... 

I must say that Julien helped a lot but also had difficulties with Centos.

Only thing that I can recommend is to follow the flavours of Linux that the 
Openchange development teams use instead of Centos.
