It's been a while since I looked at it, but IIRC alsa removes the
suffixes like "Playback Volume" or "Capture Volume" except when this
would duplicate an existing name. For example, "Sidetone Playback
Volume" -> "Sidetone" but "Sidetone Capture Volume" -> "Sidetone
Capture".
