That is no wonder. 5783 contained a bug that made segfaults certain (it operated on a different variable than intended). This is why 5784 was made immediately after it. You should not use 5783 at all. The fix Bogdan made, is given by the combination of 5783+5784. What you should use is current trunk with system malloc so we can see if it fixes your problem.
