removed xdm from boot runlevel restarted (with radeon.modeset=1 in cmdline) and dmesg | grep drm was empty So i presume radeon.ko is loaded by X. I tried to add modules="radeon" to /etc/conf.d/modules, this messed up everything, and had to remove it. -- Ing. Dott.
