Sorry,
I thought his email came offlist, so I replied directly and not to list...

This is just the kernel side to run Timemark Mode, the mode that had the low jitter.
Plus bracketed timestamps. Analysis to be done in user space.

We'd have to identify what is required for adding other hardware, but it can't be too hard, he says...

The coms with the ublox come from user space code.
I don't know what will happen when I substitute my driver with his refclock code. The coms with the setting up the ublox may have to be done with other software. When other software does the coms for setup with ublox, why maintain yet another piece of software doing that. Once the M8T is setup, it just runs and runs. I last touched the settings on mine two years ago?

As it's a LKM, anyone can mod it to their needs, load and run it,

Would this be all kernel-side features we need to run the u-blox
refclock?
No kernel side features are need to run u-blox as a refclock.

KPPS helps a lot.

I suspect you meant is this all that is needed for Timemark mode?
