Well, what clock sources get reported on boot when you don't force anything and which one gets ultimately selected by the kernel? Are you actually using a kernel new enough to know about Ryzen CPU, and does it have the latest microcode for it (assuming that the BIOS isn't up on the latest release of that already)? Please upload the full boot log to one of the paste services instead of trying to guess what might look interesting.
