Hi Mark, I've started to work on openchangemapirestore a while ago, but have never pushed the code indeed. However the idea behind these drafts tool is relatively simple. These are basic brick-level backup tools.
openchangemapidump: fetch-items and store all message properties within a ldb file openchangemapirestore: dump all message properties from ldb file and push them to the Exchange server. The point is that the development of these tools has been stopped while waiting for ICS (Incremental Change Synchronization) related code (IDL + libmapi) to be analyzed and pushed on trunk. ICS is supposed to provide a much more reliable backup process than raw MAPI-store dump using existing MAPI calls. If restoring data from openchangemapidump is critical for you, I can give it a look and push a preliminary draft - using the openchangemapidump initial model. However you shouldn't expect too much reliability from these tools at the current stage of development. Let me know what you prefer. Cheers, Julien.
