The specific problem relates to an incorrect file that is installed under the samba4 install prefix (usually /usr/local/samba). Under that, look for lib/pkgconfig/ldb.pc, which will have a line that looks like: Requires: talloc events Just delete the events part (leaving talloc): Requires: talloc You'll then need to rebuild openchange (including rerunning the configure part).
