Hi, > any news/updates from IETF regarding this topic? Sorry for the late answer. The IETF meeting had the following results: * Infrastructure ENUM is officially on the charter of the ENUM WG. (and it's named "Infrastructure ENUM" and not "Carrier ENUM") So there will definitely be an IETF standard which extends the old user-ENUM RFC. * regarding the I-D: draft-haberler-carrier-enum-01.txt is certainly not the final word, it looks like there will be a more generic approach which can even link to a different apex. It's not sure whether this will be a new RR or a TXT record. I will adapt my patches once I get a spec to program against. --- * We're going to use the code in an infrastructure ENUM trial in Austria which starts Q1/2006. cheers, /ol > Otmar Lendl wrote: > > >On 2005/11/03 15:11, Juha Heinanen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > >>so i would suggest that this code is incorporated into current enum > >>module if the draft becomes ietf working group document AND the BLR > >>issue has been decided. after that the code is not likely to need heavy > >>future modification. > >> > >> > > > >I can live with that. > > > >/ol > > > > -- < Otmar Lendl ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) | nic.at Systems Engineer > _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list [email protected] http://openser.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devel
