Hi, we have released ownCloud Client 1.8.4 to address a security issue (CVE-2015-1793, http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2015-1793) in our binary packages for Windows and Mac by upgrading to OpenSSL 1.0.2d. Other than containing this fix, there are no changes in this release.
We recommend to upgrade to 1.8.4. New versions are presently being distributed through the auto-updater. If you do not wish to wait, or disabled the auto-updater, please get your update from https://owncloud.org/install/#install-clients. Linux users with OpenSSL 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 will receive the security update through their Linux Distributions security update mechanism, users of older OpenSSL versions are not affected.
