I'll go ahead and update to the latest mainline, then I'll test this patch. If you want to commit this in the meanwhile it's fine for me if Joel thinks it's ok. However (and forgive me for insisting on this so much), I'd still like to know why we have to drop the HALCoGen formula. If we definitely have to drop it, as a maintainer I'd appreciate a detailed comment explaining why we did it.
