As I understood it we have tried to push this patch to mainline before,
but it was not accepted. We could make a new attempt after the vacation
period.
We should probably
1. remove the -msoft-float,
2. enable SPARC_USE_SAFE_FP_SUPPORT for all configurations (see also
test case spcontext01), and
3. add a deferred floating-point save for uniprocessor configurations.
Sounds like a good idea. I will revise my patch and remove -msoft-float.
