I know ATI has a policy of working with the XFree development team to help generate some lower level drivers so that 3d acceleration can be incorporated. I also know that the GATOS project is working on a similar process.
I've tried a number of things to get this working, but all have failed. I have the IGP320M (ATI integrated graphics chipset for AMD processors, shared memory architechture, "fully radeon software compatible"[from their website]). I've seen a couple of other posts from folks with this chipset and from a guy with the intel version (IGP340M). Have any documents been handed over, is there a request process that needs to be started, are there other questions that need to be answered? I'm really anxious to get more out of my laptop with Linux, but I'm kinda limited with the software rendering of X. I want to get this ball rolling, so, what can I do to move this along? Thanks for any direction & help! Ben __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
