That's not completely true.  I have a Savage/MX (Sony Vaio SR17K) and your
latest RPMS work ONLY if I use Option "ForceInit" in my XF86Config file.

In other news, DPMS is still broken on my Radeon VE -> Flat Panel (DVI).
