Anything that over-specifies static configuration data (as the out-of-date
Cards database does) should be avoided.  Such things should be limited
to exceptions/workarounds and user/system preferences.  While the utilties
that use the Cards database continue to be used, it may be useful to
eliminate the unnecessary data in the Cards database.  A patch that does
this would be welcome.

Moving forward though, exceptions/workarounds, where possible, should
be fixed in the drivers so that they no longer need to be specified, and
should be added to the xfree86.cfg file with a version-specific rule.
