Hi Santosh,

DDS in general and OpenSplice DDS specifically can’t be compared to a
centralized database which typically supports ACID transactions.

One could view DDS (and OpenSplice DDS) as a sort of
*replicated*global-dataspace where we ‘borrowed’ a subset of SQL to
query/filter for
proper subscribed data.

The only form of transaction-like processing in DDS is related to what’s
called ‘coherent-updates’ where a single publisher can group a set of
topic-updates of potentially different topics in a begin/end
coherent-changes (see chapter 7.1.2.4.1.10. of the DDS rev1.2
specification).

*Subject:* [OSPL-Dev] Support for "Database Transaction Processing"
available with openSliceDds implementation ?

Hi ,

I am new member to work with openSliceDDS.

Coming across one query -

1. Does openSliceDDS implementation supports - Database Transaction
Processing ?

By Transaction Processing I mean - the transactions with the properties

Kindly help my understanding.

Please reply.

Thanks & Regards,

 Santosh.
