Could you clarify what you mean by the current development focus? I had understood the Moovida team had some major media scanner updates planned for Dec/Jan. Is that still planned? I have been looking at the media scanner in general, and have concluded that it needs some major changes to better cope with some album and TV show limitations (e.g. I would like to consider whole folders at once, not just file by file). As long as there is a big update to the scanner "coming soon", I don't want to waste my time improving any soon-to-be obsolete code. I do have some small ideas for improvement too though ...
