Dear beta testers, We're proud to announce RadioTime as the new plugin ready for testing on our beta repository.
This is Moovida's latest official plugin, which features both free radio and video content, so make sure to access both these sections in Moovida to test everything. RadioTime's video content is exclusive as they do not even feature it on their website, so enjoy getting the first glimpse! Below's a reminder of the instructions: *** *How does it work?* All beta testing activities should be done via Launchpad's dedicated group: - As new features and plugins are created for Moovida, we will be contacting you via the moovida-betatesters mailing list to test these. - Test from the provided repository (see "How do I get the beta content" below) - For any inconsistencies you detect, file a bug report through Launchpad ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/moovida/+filebug). After detailing the bug report under "Further information", open the "Extra options" drop down menu and write beta tester in the tag field. - For comments or questions, contact Moovida staff and fellow testers via this mailing list: [email protected] Only those registered to the program have access to the beta content. The invitations to test new stuff will come sporadically as new plugins can be created by the community at any time. *How do I get the beta content?* It's very simple. All you need to do is change a value in the configuration file and next time you start Moovida you'll get all the beta updates. On windows the configuration file is located in %USERPROFILE%\.moovida\moovida.conf. On linux it is located in ~/.moovida/moovida.conf. Open it with a text editor, look for the [plugin_registry] section and change the repository line from repository = 'http://plugins.moovida.com/plugin_list' to repository = 'http://plugins-beta.moovida.com/plugin_list' Save the file. Restart Moovida. Note that you can revert this change at any moment to get back to using the stable plugins. If you wish to do that, you will also need to delete all the files in the plugins/ sub-folder in .moovida/. *Beta tester etiquette* We truly appreciate any contribution you make through this program, but here are some minimal requirements we expect from you: - Know Moovida: developers and power users should be the norm - Make clear bug reports by specify the following: - Expected result - Current end result (the difference has to be clear) - Detail the steps you perform to achieve the bug (it's got to be easy to reproduce) - Verify that it be reproduced in an optimal setting on your machine (fresh start) If you have any questions about the program, don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. *** Thanks again for your participation!
