Yes, I read about that and it appears they will be sort of busy around the 
summer.
Besides joining GSoC can be seen as an helpful opportunity more than a waste of 
time!
Both the Mentor and the students gets stipended from Google to focus on 
milestones and Ideas decided by Fluendo wich can obviously decide to use or not 
the code the students release.

If I were Fluendo I'll give it a try..IMHO

Maybe some problems about licences may arise due to the non-completely open 
licensing of Moovida 2.0 but I don't know..
