Hi Ajay,
Brilliant idea. Unfortunately, I'm not a developer but wanted to suggest th=
e Nominet Trust as a source of funding in case you weren't aware of the fun=
ding support they offer. All the best with the project.
Cheers,
Ade

Subject: [mySociety:public] India Development Support
I am funding launch of a pilot mySociety inspired project in India in north
Indian town of Chandigarh. See intro at http://lokmantra.in/?cat=7
Providing access to people in slums and villages to a digital service is a
unique challenge but I believe we have a solution through the mobile
penetration and mushrooming of mobile retail and service outlets everywhere.
The mobile-stores will become the first point of contact for people wanting to
petition or fix.
I plan to launch a locally relevant petition site and fixmystreet service with
a SMS and MMS interface.
I am not a developer and need time and help from developers interested in
getting an Indian pilot off the ground.

It might be worth flagging this up to Sunny Hundal at
pickledpolitics.com as the subject for an article. May well be right
up their street.
