Hi everyone, As a side project of Mash the State, my campaign to get councils to use RSS feeds, I've set up a site called Barcode Posters that lets you print out RSS feeds with barcodes so mobile phone users can "blip" them and view the full web pages in the item links:
http://www.barcodeposters.com/ Here it is in action, putting Sutton Council's news, job vacancies, public consultations and nearby planning applications from Sutton and adjacent Merton onto a rather underused council noticeboard: http://mashthestate.wordpress.com/2009/09/28/guerilla-noticeboarding-the-council-with-barcode-posters/ The big picture is that now you can print RSS feeds easily you can take that information to places where it hasn't easily been able to go previously. I'm very interested to see creative and civic-minded uses of this system so let's see what you all can do with it.
