Dear Worlds Leading Developers and Programmers (well it is true, and a bit
of flattery never hurt anyone either)

Bit of blurb below on the aid transparency hack/barcamp/event below. We are
working with donated datasets from the World Bank, DFID etc and some scraped
sets that we are hoping to work with scraperwiki on. But we really need your
help to prove that this data is needed and aid transparency can work.
Please do sign up, and forward to anyone you think might interested.
Advice, thoughts and suggestions also welcome.

April 10th 2010 in *London *The Guardian newspaper –

We think great things can happen when people who understand aid information
and top developers and programmers with an eye for data get together. So we
hosting a series of events globally to analyse innovate and make cool
visualisations around aid data.

The idea is to team people up from different disciplines for the day to
rummage through lots of datasets – big datasets like AidData, The World Bank
and DfIDs but many others also – to come up with stories, apps and
visualisations that show what the future of aid transparency will look like.

Please do join us, you can grab a ticket for DC
