Have you tried http://www.ourairports.com/ ? Also see the Airport data available in Freebase http://www.freebase.com/view/aviation/airport
There's a project in Freebase which is reconciling the OurAirports data with wikipedia parsed data. The Freebase data is also available through API - as an example, the data shown in http://www.freebase.com/view/base/airtrafficcontrol/views/airport_icao_iata_codes can be read from the API as so: http://api.freebase.com/api/service/mqlread?query={%22query%22:[{%20%22/location/location/geolocation%22:%20[{%20%22latitude%22:%20null,%20%22longitude%22:%20null,%20%22type%22:%20%22/location/geocode%22%20}],%20%22iata%22:%20[],%20%22icao%22:%20[],%20%22id%22:%20null,%20%22name%22:%20null,%20%22type%22:%20%22/aviation/airport%22%20}]} On Mon, Apr 5, 2010 at 10:16 PM, Tony Bowden <[email protected]> wrote: > On Mon, Apr 5, 2010 at 8:19 PM, James Blessing > <[email protected]> wrote: >> http://matrix.itasoftware.com might be able to pass you a feed, give them a >> shout > > Just as an FYI: ITA are also OK with people screen-scraping their site > (if you're applying for a job with them they ask you to submit sample > code that does so). > > It's not the nicest thing to scrape, but coupled with their advanced > search syntax and the amount of data you can get from the results > (e.g. broken down fees & taxes), it's hard to beat for anything > involving most of the major airlines. > > If anyone's doing any hacking on airline stuff it's worth checking out > FlyerTalk too: there's much much much more information there than most > people could ever reasonably be expected to want or need! > > Tony > > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list [email protected] > Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: > https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public > _______________________________________________ Mailing list [email protected] Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public
