Stefan it has got nothing to do with my society as it is there to inform people about the work they do. Also if we were to be fair and objective it must be remembered that MPs do a lot more than turn up to committees for example deal with the people who have elected them talk to Ministers behind the scenes and other work which needs to be done like dealing with external bodies.
If they came to the House all the time than the other work would not be done and people would complain about their MP not replying to their letters or taking up issues with Ministers. There is a good book I read sometime ago it is called I am not exactly sure of the title but something like Parliamentary Procedures, Practices or something like that by Robert Blackburn and a Clerk of the House of Commons.
