As you can see from that document, part of it is to provide a two-way API so that other sites (FixMyStreet is mentioned) can feed in requests. I believe we're hoping to meet with Lewisham at some point. It certainly does integrate with their back-end systems, yes, and hopefully FixMyStreet will be able to feed into it better in the future.

I've a funny feeling that Lewisham has also approached FillThatHole with a view to defining a standard way to interface between hazard reporting systems, but can't find any notes about it.

A major step forward would be for councils to be able to make use of WGS84 Lat&Lng, or even OS grid references, instead of needing road names and house numbers (not much use in the countryside). Some do, but the majority sadly don't, so valuable location information gets lost.
