Running YourNextMP was quite a bit of work. It was made possible by the great volunteers from DemocracyClub and I'm really happy with the outcome. Extending the site to cover other elections is something I'd like to do but I need to make sure that it is possible. This means knowing that there are volunteers out there to help put in and manage the data, and money to cover the time to develop and run the site. It was tough keeping up with the high profile candidates for 650 MP positions so you'll understand that I'm hesitant to go try to track the lower profile candidates for the 29,000 local councillor positions. Any ideas about ways to attract funding and volunteer interest very welcome :) > The upcoming Labour Leadership elections. > The elections in the nations and London Assembly and Mayoral elections. > European Parliament elections. > Mayoral elections for directly elected Mayors. don't forget Scottish and Welsh Assemblies too Cheers, Edmund. > One of the reasons I ask is that it seems that a lot of those elections are > in many cases ignored in favour of the general election even though they have > a larger number of voters. > > I was asking some people in my borough if they were interested in a site like > my next mp for our first directly elected Mayor and I got no response even > though the Mayor will have many of the powers of the council cabinet. > > > Support solar power in the developing world. > http://www.everyclick.com/solaraid > http://www.solar-aid.org/ > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list [email protected] > Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: > https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public > -- Who will you vote for? http://www.YourNextMP.com http://blog.yournextmp.com/ _______________________________________________ Mailing list [email protected] Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public
