Thanks for your response Matthew. I appreciate that mySociety has limited only limited resources. I do have some programming knowledge myself so it wouldn't be completely unrealistic that I could contribute some of my time in some way to develop this.
I note from some more research on the subject of deposited papers that a cover sheet is completed whenever a document is deposited in the House of Lords/House of Commons libraries. One of the items required to be filled in is the Hansard UIN of the relevant question, statement, or debate, or name of the committee. It would be extremely useful if that information could be provided on http://deposits.parliament.uk/ alongside the deposited paper since it would make manual matching unnecessary in many cases. Might mySociety be able to encourage Parliament to provide this information on their website? I could of course contact Parliament directly myself but perhaps mySociety is in a better position to do so, knowing the appropriate people to talk to about matters like this.
