Job Summary Exciting new role for enthusiastic, creative manager to join a growing team campaigning globally on aid transparency. We are looking for a flexible, experienced team-member to lead on our advocacy, communications and campaign work. This senior role will involve managing a small team to design and deliver our advocacy and communications strategies focused on the U.S., Europe and the World Bank. The job includes designing innovative products and cultivating relationships with journalists, politicians, donors, policy makers and other campaign organisations. Role and Responsibilities - Leadership and coordination of advocacy planning and delivery of our advocacy and communications strategies, which focus on the World Bank, the U.S., the European Commission and IATI - Line managing and coordinating our team of 4 staff delivering our advocacy, media and campaigning activities, focusing on the run up to the fourth High Level Forum on aid effectiveness in November - Producing advocacy tools and supporting the dissemination of research products including the forthcoming aid transparency tracker to be rolled out across over 40 donor organisations - Supporting the media officer in delivering the media and campaign strategy and activities - Liaising and mobilising key stakeholders across the world, including politicians, donors, policy makers and other campaign organisations - Contributing to overall strategic and financial planning as member of the Senior Management Team, including fundraising Essential - Significant experience in advocacy and campaigning roles – including high-level stakeholder management - Planning and executing advocacy campaigns on time and on budget - Extensive experience drafting and editing for campaign outputs - Experience of managing, training and mentoring a small team - Ability to work on own initiative with experience of delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines and managing external contractors - Knowledge and experience of working with both traditional and new media Desirable - Knowledge of aid transparency and effectiveness, e-transparency, freedom of information, anti-corruption agendas - Experience of working with southern civil society campaigns and organisations - Knowledge of EU, U.S. or World Bank advocacy - Developing country experience - Experience of general NGO management - French language skills How to apply Please send your CV and a covering letter outlining - Why you want to work at Publish What You Fund - Why you are suitable for the role, addressing the responsibilities and experience required as listed in the job description to recruit...@publishwhatyoufund.org Selection Process If your application is shortlisted you will be asked to participate in a telephone interview.
