Hi Joe,

Thanks for getting in touch :) Our main sites are all on github, and all have issue lists. I've listed the ones that are mainly PHP/Python below. These issues cover anything people have added in the past (many transcribed from our old ticketing system, so the creator of the issue may not be the person who wrote it originally), so might range in quality and whether they'd actually be useful! Do you have any particular area of interest? Anyway, please do take a look. Those things labelled "Debbi Day" are potentially towards the shorter end.

TheyWorkForYou - front end is all PHP
    https://github.com/mysociety/theyworkforyou/issues
- many things ranging from small bugs and requests to bigger improvements, such as improving our metadata or adding Open Graph

WriteToThem - front end is PHP
    https://github.com/mysociety/writetothem/issues

PledgeBank - almost all PHP
    https://github.com/mysociety/pledgebank/issues

Petitions - the admin page and a few other pages are PHP
    https://github.com/mysociety/petitions/issues

HearFromYourMP - all PHP
    https://github.com/mysociety/hearfromyourmp/issues

MaPit - a Django app (Python)
    https://github.com/mysociety/mapit/issues
    (I'd love the shape simplifier)

Please feel free to fork any of those projects on github and make pull requests etc, and ask if you have any questions.

ATB,
Matthew

Hi all,

I'm interested in getting involved with MySociety doing some web
development and was wondering where the best place to start would be -
is there a project management site for the different sites like Trac or
Redmine which lists tasks that I could take on? I have about 5 years
experience with PHP and a bit of Python too and am currently employed as
a web developer on some relatively high traffic sites so I'm happy to
get my hands dirty!

Thanks,

Joe
