Hi Rob, everyone, There have been persistent load problems on the server running WhatDoTheyKnow which the team have been working intermittently to fight for a while now.
The reason we've not succeeded yet has been a) the lack of a staging server containing a complete copy of the database to work on and b) a lack of developer time due to a mixture of paternity leave and commercial deadlines. I know it isn't acceptable to have one of our most important sites going up and down like this, but we remain resource constrained. I am glad to say that in about 7 days from now we'll be able to have both Robin Houston and Seb Bacon working on this together, with a proper staging server, at which point I have high hopes that WhatDoTheyKnow will start to tick over in a smoother fashion.
