I've been thinking about accountability of senior civil servants recently. It's a subject with a distinguished past of PAC / PASC reports and thinktank research (Institute of Government, IPPR) but little significant change.
Have there been any discussions on here about a 'they work for you' for senior civil servants? I'd be fascinated to know what you think: a. It's a bad idea . . . you're foolish not to have spotted why b. It's a good idea without demand c. It's an interesting idea, depending on what it means Many thanks Matthew
