It was a one time only occurrance, because since then, the testcases
all succeed.

I never run the tests from eclipse. I would say though, that they
ought to work without a local repository. I'll look into that. It is
though a bit silly to _not_ run on a local repository, because you
only test the nightly build otherwise, which you can only fix, if some
test happen to fail, by waiting a day.

I think you must use maven to build mmbase head, and therefore you
will have a local repository. We maintain a very simple, and probably
as yet incomplete  'how to maven
for ant-users' in the README:
