The server I talked about is MMBase 1.6.20020506-dev, it does
have an MMBaseServlet .. org.mmbase.servlet.MMBaseServlet
it may no longer be in web.xml by default, but it exists,
and it does (nearly) nothing but start mmbase.

I still maintain the point that designing a monolithic kernel in 1991 is a
fundamental error. Be thankful you are not my student. You would not get a
high grade for such a design.
