I get a clearer picture now. Wilbert explained that we use a own infomix-driver on our older machines which has a overriden insert method just to 'fix' this issue. But since I am busy now to setup the new informix-layer (with inherited builders) and hence partly use the informix-driver out of cvs, I now seem to 'retrigger' this bug. I would like to know how the EO has solved this or if they dont have it in the first place. gr, marcel
