** Original call:

CALL FOR:

We would like to change the requirements for the java engine needed to
run MMBase.
The current requirement is JDK 1.2.
We would like to change this to JDK 1.3
If accepted, this change will go in with version 1.6 of MMBase (so
MMBase 1.5.2 will still be Java 1.2 compatible).
Note that this means, that with MMBase version 1.6, we will no longer
support JDK 1.2.

We concider this change necessary, so we can make use of newer
technologies, and solve current problems in the code that would
otherwise require far more effort.
