What do you mean with turning off scan?CALL FOR:I would like to turn off SCAN by default in the next MMBase release (1.6). Currently, SCAN is still on. Turning off Scan as a default scripting language will encourage use and development of jsp. Ofcourse, turning SCAN on shpuld still eb possible, and a readme should provide info on how to do this. The default editors /admin pages will then be the jsp versions (though we will add alternate jsp editor implementations to the distro if they are accepted).
Make the jsp admin/editors a default, or does it implies more?
I would like to have more information in regard to SCAN.
e.g. Who are actually using scan templates, scan editors, the scan admin tool ?
And are those people thinking about stopping to use scan. If this is the case, in how many months/years do they want to get rid of scan?
Which pieces of MMBase are actually scan? And is it possible to put all scan related things in a separate package?
If you mean with your call to make the jsp stuff default in the next MMBase release then i agree. Otherwise you should specify more what you mean with this call.
