No, I don't agree. It's a good spot for some debugging code. Perhaps we agree that debugging code doesn't count as real functionality.
Ok, but as I wrote, currently teh default sort of a node list is by toSTring(). I guess that will become by 'number' then?
Note that this would then also apply to the default sort for nodemanagers.
