Ok, on to the next problem, I load my file with <mm:setfield name="handle"> and retrieve it with <A href="<mm:attachment/>"> which gives url: mmbase-webapp/attachment.db?session=...+492. This seems to work. But...
1. the system is unable to determine the mimetype. 2. when the file gets retrieved from the database, it seems corrupted. What is the function of this detection and how does this relate to storage and retrieval of data. Does detected mimetype influence the way data is stored in the database? What exactly is the meaning of the fields in magic.xml (mimetype, extension, designation, test, childlist)?
