I think that we write our documention in english in the first place because it is the international language of computers, trade, science etc., which it mainly is because of the strong position of USA. It's a bit silly to write in british english in that viewpoint I think. My vote would however even go to a variant of american english: 'dutch english', ie badly pronounced american english, with heavy influence of dutch grammar and vocabulary.
