Hello,

Most people know me as I have been an MMC member for quite a while.
Together with Daniel I designed the basic principles by which MMBase
was built. I am not the quite the in your face type, so my work has
been mostly hidden. I currently maintain the machine which runs
mmbase.org and will continue doing so (even if don't make MMC
membership). I work for the VPRO as one of the backend developers
and am mostly involved with code in the center of MMBase.

As for the future of MMBase. I think it is the best to focus on
stability and performance and not on new features on the short term
(a year or so). And in the future to focus more on features like
the grouping of functionality in the core so it will be easier to
make them pluggable and be replaced with more advanced functionality
e.g. versioning of data. I think it is important for MMBase to be
stable platform to develop on, and not a platform with new features
every week, while other features are forgotten.
